This is a true one-of-a-kind set. The three olive wood platters in these photos are the exact set that ships to you — each one hand carved from a single solid piece of Mediterranean olive wood, following the wood's own free-form, and shaped into our thin platter design. Every so often pieces come through with grain this figured — deep, swirling figure and dark streaks running right across the face — and we set the best of them aside for our individualized, one-of-a-kind offerings. These three belong together: a matched trio of fine, slender platters, each with its own character.
What you're getting: this exact set of three thin olive wood platters, each roughly 12.5 to 13.5 inches long by 6 to 7+ inches wide, together weighing about 1080 grams. Three solid pieces of olive wood — sanded smooth and conditioned with our all natural food safe wood conditioner made in-house. The organic shapes and wild grain are the whole point; the figure is what makes this trio a standout and unlike any other set.
Ways to use it: a graduated serving spread for cheese, cured meats, bread, and olives across all three; a set of fruit or bread platters for the counter; or simply sculptural pieces set out on display, together or apart. They earn their place on the table and on the shelf.
Why olive wood: it's one of the hardest, densest woods there is, with a tight closed grain that resists water, odors, and staining far better than open-grained woods. It won't impart flavor to your food, and with a little care an olive wood piece can last for generations. The wild, swirling grain and warm color mean no two pieces look alike — and this set is truly the only one of its kind.
Real Photos, Every Time
Every photo in our shop is our own — shot by us, of the real pieces, in real light. No stock images, no AI.
Doing Good — No Greenwashing
The designs are ours — our own shapes, or existing forms we've refined together with the artisans we work with directly — then made to our spec, inspected, and hand-finished by us before they ship straight to you. No middlemen, no distributors, no drop-shipping. We believe in true sustainability, quality over quantity, and treading lightly: olive wood is a renewable resource, harvested from trees that have already given their fruit.
Care: rinse gently in warm water, dry right away, and never soak them or put them in the dishwasher. Every so often, wipe each piece with a food-grade wood conditioner to keep the grain rich and protected. Treated this way, they last lifetimes.
One of a Kind: this is a single, one-off set — when it's gone, it's gone. The three platters in the photos are exactly what you'll receive, down to the grain. With pieces this figured, the wood is the whole story; the dark mineral streaks and the flow of the grain are never a flaw, always a fingerprint.
A set like this makes an heirloom gift for any occasion, or for anyone who appreciates truly unique, quality items.
