Three ingredients, highly effective.  Pure beeswax, fractionated coconut oil (MCT), and a touch of vitamin E. No petroleum mineral oils, no solvents, nothing you can't pronounce. Food-safe, and made in small batches here in California.

What it's for:  Hydrating and protecting natural wood — cutting boards, serving boards, bowls, spoons and utensils, butcher blocks. It revives tired, dry grain, leaves a water-resistant finish, and helps keep wood from drying out and cracking over time.  A simple step done every so often will keep your natural wood items functioning and looking good for many years.  This is the exact same product we finish your wooden items with before shipping to you.  

What you're getting: one 4 oz (113g) tin.

How to use it: apply liberally with a cloth and work it into the grain. Let it sit 30 minutes to overnight, then wipe off any excess. Repeat as needed — about once a month keeps a well-used board happy, more often for new or thirsty wood.

So clean you won't mind getting it on your hands: the base is about as simple as a balm or salve gets. (That said, it's made for wood, not for eating — keep it out of reach of children and pets.)

Good for people, wood, and the planet. The beeswax is a renewable byproduct of healthy hives, the MCT comes from coconuts, and that short list is the entire formula — nothing petroleum-based. The tin is steel: refill it, reuse it, or recycle it. We'd rather keep it honest and simple than dress up a complicated label as "natural."
