Teak Wood Spurtle — a workhorse in our own kitchen. Now at 100 loaves of sourdough and counting, plus various other stirring duties, our spurtle has shown no signs of slowing down. Rarely a day goes by when we don't use one or more of these beautiful teak utensils in our own kitchens.

What You're Getting

One teak spurtle, sold individually, handmade from natural golden 'true' teak from Thailand. Since these pieces are made in small quantities by woodworking artisans, expect some variance from piece to piece.

Ideal for mixing sourdough, but a versatile kitchen tool for a wide range of tasks — stirring oatmeal, soups, and sauces, and scraping the pan.

Why Teak

We use the highest quality natural Thai teak — no lacquer or solvents, sealed only with our natural food-grade wood conditioner.

Care

Hand wash with soapy water only and dry thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe; don't soak or submerge. Re-apply natural wood conditioner periodically to keep your teak in good shape for years to come.

Natural golden teak — grain, color, and exact dimensions vary from piece to piece. That variation is the point.
